Roe’s 37-year career in civil service includes pivotal roles at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Workforce Development, and the Wisconsin Technical College System.
At UW-Madison, he developed highly rated eLearning courses for over 30 departments, making him a trusted expert in online education.
With a Master’s in Career and Technical Education from UW-Stout, Roe has also run a successful consulting business for 19 years. He has led workshops and developed training for organizations like Epic, Vita Plus Corporation, and over 75 small businesses. His popular courses on grant writing at Madison College have helped over 110 nonprofits secure more than $1.5 million in funding.

Roe continues to lead as the founder of Anderson Park Friends, where he increased volunteer engagement to over 3,000 hours and doubled the organization’s membership in 2023.
