Deep Canvassing for Building Bridges (Improved Communications) (2005)

Description

Unlock the power of meaningful dialogue with our Deep Canvassing course! Imagine transforming divided opinions into shared values through genuine, heartfelt conversations. This course is your gateway to mastering the art of deep canvassing, a technique proven by solid research to bridge gaps and foster understanding in our increasingly polarized society.

Deep Canvassing is a two-way conversation between canvassers (initiator) and voters where voters are asked to share their personal experiences around the issue being discussed. It emphasizes listening versus "selling" your opinion to the other person.

In this course, you’ll learn:

- How to engage in authentic conversations: Learn the core principles of deep canvassing, focusing on listening rather than telling
   others what to think.

- How to recognize the right moments: Discover when deep canvassing is most effective and when it’s best to employ other strategies.

- How to create lasting impact: Master the techniques of active listening and sharing personal experiences in a way that resonate with
   others.

- How to build rapport: Use guided scripts from the canvass organizer to develop genuine connections and navigate conversations based on voter reactions.
